THE MURDER case of 14-year old schoolgirl Arushi Talwar in her apartment in Noida, New Delhi while her parents slept in the adjacent room is still not solved. One of the suspects in the murder case has approached the Meerut police asking for protection. He fears for his life at the hands of Arushi’s father Dr. Rajesh Talwar.

The suspect is Rajkumar Sharma who was employed as a domestic servant in the house of another doctor, who is a close friend of Arushi’s father. Rajkumar had been released on bail and had gone off to Nepal but has been called back by the CBI for further interrogation.

Once in India, he immediately ran to the IG of Meerut and sought police protection. Any number of theories was doing the rounds when the murders first came to light but, due to lack of evidence, the case appears to be headed for the closed cases file – in spite of search by police dogs, the murder weapon has not yet been recovered.
