Arvind Kejriwal meets Delhi auto-rickshaw driver who slapped him yesterday
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal was slapped yesterday by an auto-rickshaw driver, while he was campaigning at Sultanpuri in North-West Delhi. Today, Kejriwal along with AAP leader Manish Sisodia met the auto-driver Lalli who slapped him, to know the reason behind it.
Arvind Kejriwal talked to Laali at his
residence, the driver broke down into tears and apologized for his
action. He also made it clear that he was not affiliated to any
political party and was a staunch supporter of AAP, but was angry on
AAP for leaving the Delhi
government and betraying the auto-drivers
after the Delhi
Laali was feeling very embarrassed for
slapping Kejriwal and told the media persons, "I am very
embarrassed of what I did and I apologised to him. I am sure he would
win in Lok Sabha polls." The same person had denounced Kejriwal as
a 'liar' yesterday and has changed his mind after meeting him.
The auto-driver slapped Kejriwal on
pretext of garlanding him and slapped him in full view of the public.
He was then thrashed by AAP supporters. This is not the first of its
kind incident, that has happened with Kejriwal, this was the second
attack on him in last four days.
According to latest reports, AAP chief
will now meet 19-year-old Abdul Wahid, who has punched him twice at a
public rally on April 4.
