Asha Bhosle turns 84 and we know exactly why we are still in awe with her!
Asha Bhosle turns 84 today on September 8, and we go down the memory lane with her immortal hits. A singer who never fails to mesmerise her fans, time immemorial she has rendered the best of melody which is ageless.

As she celebrates her birthday with her grand kids in Geneva, we can have a peep over the gems of yesteryears, muse over those songs which have always created a stir in our hearts. Be it a sad or a romantic evening, she has all been throughout, in every occasion, in every mood, in every stage of life. Asha Bhosle's unique style of singing is unparalleled and has surpassed beyond age, generation, genre, and boundaries.

Her voice cannot be restricted to any particular generation but her appeal has gone beyond that. She has rendered her voice for the past six decades from Madhubala to Kajol, Hema Malini to Vidya Balan and every time it has left her fans in love with her. A versatile singer as she is, be it classical or collaborating with Western bands, she has been there, done all.

Asha Bhosle has also been a record holder in the Guinness Book for being the most recorded artist. Honoured with the Padma Vibhushan in 2008 and Dada Saheb Phalke award in 2000, this legendry singer has ruled the music world with her mellifluous voice.

She has always been in sync with modern day version of music, adapting to the latest trends and technology though she believes that music cannot be replaced by technology. She says, "We all have to get familiar with the use of technology in everything -- whether it is music or film. But we must not forget that nothing can replace real talent. Call me an old school (person), but I believe that technology cannot add soul to our voice. Therefore, the longevity of those songs (newly made) is lesser," Bhosle had recently said.

On her birthday you can just peep down the music lane and undoubtedly there would be a plethora of choice. The playlist is endless leaving a definite mood every time for her fans.

All glory to the immortal voice on her B-Day.
