In a shocking development, Asha Bhosle's daughter has committed suicide by shooting herself in the head. Although it is not clear why she took this step, it has been reported that might have had a history of depression.
ASHA BHOSLE'S daughter Varsha Bhosle, who lived with her mother, has reportedly killed herself. Varsha allegedly shot herself and died due to the single bullet injury at her home in South Mumbai in Prabha Kunj. Police have confirmed this to be a suicide. Some neighbors heard the gun shot and contacted the police of the same in the morning.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead. Asha Bhosle is reportedly not in
India and is in Singapore. Varsha was married to a
sports writer and a divorcée. This was, however, not the first time that the 50-year-old lady had attempted suicide. In 2008 September 9, she was hospitalized due to an overdose of sleeping pills but she was saved. This time however, she bid farewell to all her loved ones.
According to television journalists, the singer and the writer's body will be taken to J J Hospital for a post mortem and no one is sure of what triggered such a reaction from her. However, there are reports of her being suffering from depression though the Police are yet to confirm it. She is one of the three children of singer Asha Bhosle and the entire film community is shocked by the news.
Like her mother, Varsha too was a singer and she used to accompany her mother in many shows. She also used to be a columnist in various news portals such as Rediff, and is also known to have contributed to The Times of India in the past. While people in tinsel town are coming in terms with the news, on Twitter people have started sharing the shocking news and are tweeting about how they felt on hearing about the suicide of Asha Bhonsle's daughter.
