Askari Zaidi: Next Indian Grand Prix will be even more better
The Indian Grand Prix was a grand success in the 2011 season. With the next Grand Prix scheduled for October 28, 2012, Askari Zaidi, Senior Vice President for Jaypee Sports International Limited told merinews.com that the next installment will be even more successful.

ASKARI ZAIDI, Senior Vice President for Jaypee Sports International Limited was very pleased with the success of the first Grand Prix in India and expects the second season of the Indian Grand Prix to be a bigger hit. The 2012 F1 schedule has been announced, where the Indian Grand Prix would take place on 28th of October. It would be the 17th race of the season.

Buddh International Circuit (BIC) has been earning praises from all corners of the motorsports world. Even the drivers involved in the F1 race were overjoyed to see such high class facilities at the offing. Owing to its success, another prestigious racing competition Moto GP also seems in the queue to host their race in BIC.

When the drivers had reached India for the F1 race this season, they were already aware that Sebastian Vettel had already won the championship, so the race did not hold such great significance as far as the points were concerned. Zaidi told merinews.com, “The 2012 F1 race in India should be an important one, if the championship has not been decided, unlike last year”.

There were some drawbacks during the first season of the F1 race such as parking problems and dust on the circuit. Zaidi remains to be very positive and says that dust in the circuit would not be a problem next season. Parking problems seemed to be a setback in spite of making arrangement for people who drove to the location in their cars. But, he also adds, “We would be introducing shuttle services for people travelling to BIC, thus discouraging people to come in their cars to make things easier for everyone”.

The Indian Grand prix has set the bar very high for themselves, and they need to maintain that standard in the coming years in order to be well known all over the world as the best Grand Prix race.
