At his animalistic best, Czerwinski devours 15 hamburgers in 10 minutes

Shocked onlookers watched with their mouths open as Peter Czerwinski devoured 15 hamburgers in a space of 10 minutes at a championship to mark the anniversary of America's independence day.

BELIEVE IT or not, a Toronto man clinched his fourth straight hamburger title after he devoured 15 hamburgers in the space of just 10 minutes. The 24-year-old Peter Czerwinski won a prize money of $1,000 as he surprised everyone with his eating skills at the Z-Burger independence Burger Eating Championship in Washington on Tuesday.

Admitting that it was a disgusting way of eating burgers, an excited Czerwinski told AFPTV that he would rather eat hamburger normally. “It is just a weird form of entertainment and I just happen to be good at it so I keep doing it.”

Hamburgers, according to Czerwinski are dumped and soaked in water as it helps get them down the throat easily. A shocked onlooker, when asked for reaction, told AFPTV: “He (Czerwinski) is an animal, he is an animal.”

Aware of the fact that many people wouldn't like it, Czerwinski said: “ Some people would find it very gross but they are still watching, they can't turn away.”

Czerwinski, a voracious eater, also holds Guinness records for eating a raw onion in 43.53 seconds and for swallowing the most Ferrero Rocher chocolates -- nine -- in a minute.

The championship, which is held every Fourth of July on the eve of America's independence day was attended by thousands of people.
