At last India acts tough against US insulting its VIPs
India has now shown that it can retaliate to the insults on its citizens by the arrogant US. It has taken strict measures against the US consulate and its personnel in India, after the latest case of insult of the India's Deputy Consul General Devyani Khobragade.
Notably Khobrgade was arrested, handcuffed, strip searched etc. in a case of alleged fradulent visa and short payment to her Indian maid. She was treated just like a criminal and put in jail along with drug addicts and hard-core criminals.
India used to be subservient to the US, when it heaped insults on India by searching an former President, ministers etc. on their visit to US. When the incident of spying on Indian Consulate was exposed, the External Minister termed it as routine affair. So the present retaliatory action is something to be treated as special.
Of course, so many changes will come on the eve of general elections, just like the passing of the Lok Pal Bill, people-friendly legislations etc.  Whatever it is, the government has to be appreciated for the present stern action against the insult to the country by US.

Has India's image of being a very soft state encouraged US to harras Devyani Khobragade?
