Attack on media by Team Anna supporters a result of desperation?

Last year the government blamed media for overplaying or hyping the indefinite fast by Anna Hazare. However, this year the same media was blamed for under-reporting the Team Anna's fast and later was attacked by Anna supporters at the Jantar-Mantar as well.

ATTACKERS BLAMED the media for not covering the cause of the fast and alleged that it was focusing more on the scarcity of Ramlila Maidan like crowd.

No doubt for the first three days there was lack of public support at the Jantar Mantar and the media, especially the electronic media focussed on it more. But the question is whether the media was wrong when it focused on the lack of public support to Team Anna during the first three days when Kejriwal, Sisodiya and Gopal Rai started their fast protests. Should media have ignored the crowd factor and focused on the cause only?

Though Anna Hazare and his team member Arvind Kejriwal have apologized for the attack, however, the tricky questions that have come up in the aftermath of the unfortunate attack need to be answered.

“The attack on media by supporters of Team Anna stems from their desperation to the sagging public support to their frequent hunger strikes. While there is no doubt about the nobility of purpose of Anna Hazare, some of his team members behave as if they are the sole arbiters of eradicating corruption from the society,” said NB Nair, Sr. Editor, Amrita TV.

The guess by the Team Anna supporters might be right that media is not showing the fast in right way... but i dnt understand what wrong it had shown that it got attacked.
