Audi's green police Super Bowl ad ranked sixth best in USA TODAY's ad meter. Audi said that its green police ad idea was based on the numerous real Green Police units globally that are furthering green practices and environmental issues.

THE AUDI commercial green police has ranked sixth best in USA TODAY's ad meter. The Audi Super Bowl commercial is a move in a different direction from the last year's commercial which was the blockbuster, with Jason Statham and their new Audi A6.

In this Audi commercial, Green Police chase people ‘messing with the ecosystem’ as they fail to recycle, compost, use plastic bags, and drink from Styrofoam cups. At a traffic stop, the 2010 Audi Diesel gets a free pass. In the one-minute ad of Audi green police commercial, citizens are arrested for using plastic instead of paper, throwing away batteries, not composting orange rinds, using incandescent light bulbs and setting their hot tub thermostats too high.

Audi said that there are numerous real Green Police units globally, that are furthering green practices and environmental issues. The Audi Super Bowl commercial mentions Audi's A3 TDI winning Green Car Journal's "Green Car of the Year" award for running on clean diesel and achieving 42 mpg on the highway, claiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30 per cent.
