Audi S4, about 5 short of Rs 50 lakhs, launched in India
A blend of superior performance and upscale luxury, Audi S4 has joined the successful league of sedans,and is the first S model to be introduced in India after it was launched in Mumbai.
GERMAN LUXURY car maker Audi has launched its first S model in India, and guess what - Audi S4 can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just five seconds. Powered by a V6 3.0 engine, the luxury car can consume just about a liter of petrol for every 10.34 kilometres travellled.
 
According to Zigwheeels.com, the car is priced at Rs 45.31 lakh (ex-showroom Maharashtra), and is a blend of superior performance and upscale luxury. The car boasts of 6 cylinder TFSI engine that pumps out 337.6PS pf power, generating 440Nm torque acheives an electronically limited maximum speed of 250 km/h.
 
S4 is also equipped with a high-performance brake system that provides powerful deceleration to the car's 18-inch wheels. Besides featuring a leather multifunction sport steering wheel, sporty cool black interior surfaces and impressive S4 badges on the front, rear and interior, the car's exterior mirrors shine with an aluminium-look finish.
 
The model will be sold through 19 Audi dealerships across the country as company celebrates the record sales of 450 cars in May 2012.
 
Commenting on the launch, Michael Perschke, Audi India Head, said: “The new Audi S4 joins the successful league of our sedans and we are confident that it will also script a success story similar to its predecessors.”
