Entertainment hub Kingdom of Dreams is gearing up for the Independence day with a kite competition. They will welcome people around the NCR region and organize a competition that will start from 1pm to 6 pm and the participants would be divided into groups. Apart from this, cultural programs wherein dances from various states of India would also entertain people who do not want to take part in the competition but just want to enjoy the day.

Million Trees Gurgaon initiative is joining hands with other organizations such as the Gurgaon Gircott, Running and Living group, Pedal Yatris and Gurgaon Drum Circle to make the day memorable with walking, running, ridding, playing and planting trees in and around Gurgaon. This is definitely an innovative way to celebrate the Independence day that will also be helpful in more than one ways.

If you want to start the day with flag hoisting and national anthem and is not too happy with the situation at Delhi right now to venture there then Epicentre is the correct place for you as they have organized an array of events after the flag hoisting and national anthem at 10:00 am. Following kite flying to shopping and the screening of the film 'Stanley Ka Dhabba' to a night of masti for the Bollywood fans (with an entry fee of 500) Ankur has planned something or the other for everyone.

Restaurants are also planning to offer special menus with a special zing for the day when India got independence from Great Britain. The Tri Colour is being used as a colour motif to hang decorations inside shops and offices. White doves, symbolizing peace and unity, have been put in the MGF mall, so that they can be freed on August 15.
