Aurangzeb more a Rishi Kapoor film than Arjun Kapoor
So much was said about the 'smile' of Arjun Kapoor after Ishaqzaade that now whenever he smiles it looks evil. With Aurangzeb, Arjun Kapoor takes a step further and explores this evil side of his.

The fact that people are never black or white but shades of grey (no, not talking about the book) has been beautifully bought about by the gritty, dark and entertaining film 'Aurangazeb.'

Although Arjun Kapoor plays the protagonists, it is purely a Rishi Kapoor film. He has immortalized his character and just as we would remember Rauf Lala in Agneepath, people will take a long time to forget Ravikant in Aurangzeb. Two people, Jackie Shroff and Amrita Singh was seen on the big screen playing substantial role after a long time and no one would deny that they are nuanced actors.

Without offering any spoilers, I would say that the film is all about a family, which is big on real estate scams. Aurangzeb or Arjun Kapoor's character has a lot riding on him to take his family business further. As per IBNLive, “The underbelly of the real estate business in NCR has bee presented in a masala manner.

As always in a dark films the heroines provide the lighter moments, in Aurangazeb Sashaa Agha is providing the audience with that. No one can question the hotness of the actress but will she be an asset for Bollywood is yet to be seen. The songs are forgettable but inspite of the low publicity of the film, it is a good entertainer.

The director, Atul Sabharwal has tried to bring in a philosophical angle at the end and that somehow has distorted the image of what could have been a powerful film. To resolve the film in a more conventional manner, the director took away from the film. However, it is a good film and one can give it a try.
