Australian Open results 2010: Chinese Li Na made a strong comeback to beat Venus Williams in the quarter finals of the Australian Open. She defeated Venus 2-6, 7-6(7-4), 7-5 to set up a semi final with Serena Williams.
Chinese Li Na made a strong comeback to beat Venus Williams in the quarter finals of the Australian Open. The shocked Williams dream run came to an end and now Li Na would meet Serena Williams in the Semi Finals. The Chinese was trailing by a set and 5-3 in the second set and looked as if Williams would easily move onto the semi finals. But Li Na had different ideas and plans. She came back strongly defeating Venus 2-6, 7-6(7-4), 7-5. With this victory, the 16th seed joins Jheng Jie, another Chinese in the last four of the Grand Slam. This is the first time that China
