Australian Open 2011: Mahesh Bhupathi - Leander Paes, Na Li in final
In the men's doubles semifinals game in Australian Open 2011, third seeded Indian Express Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes, who teamed-up after nine years in a Grand Slam tournament, secured their berth for the final.
WORLD NO.7 David Ferrer scattered the dream of world no.1 Rafael Nadal’s hopes of winning a fourth consecutive Grand Slam title at Rod Laver Arena in Australian Open 2011 on Wednesday. Spaniard David Ferrer defeated his fellow country-man in their quarter-final game 6-4, 6-2, 6-3.

An Australian Open win for world no.1 Rafael Nadal would have made him the first player to hold all four majors since Rod Laver in 1969. Nadal currently holds the French Open, Wimbledon and US Open titles.

Ferrer will now face World No.5 Andy Murray in the semi-final of Australian Open 2011 on Friday. Andy Murray of United Kingdom defeated Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukrain in a four set game by 7-5, 6-3, 6-7(7), 6-3.

Serbian third seeded Novak Djokovic to play against Roger Federer in the semifinal of first Grand Slam of the year, Australian Open 2011. Novak Djokovic won against Tomas Berdych in a straight set in the quarter-final game. Djokovic won by 6-1, 7-6, 6-1.

In the first semi-final of women's singles in the Australian Open 2011 at Rod Laver Arena, ninth seeded Chinease Na Li defeated world no. 1 Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark by 3-6, 7-5, 6-3. During the two hours 35 minutes long game, Na Li served four asheas.

In an another women's singles semi-final world no. 3 Kim Clijsters of Belgium will play against world no. 2 Russian Vera Zvonareva later today.

Former world no. one pair Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes defeated world no. 2 pair of Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor. 7-6(7-5), 4-6, 6-3 in two hours 20 minutes.
