authorSTREAM's new feature for PowerPoint sharing
PowerPoint presentation-sharing tool authorSTREAM has launched a new feature to share PowerPoints on YouTube. The new feature will add fun in sharing of PowerPoint presentations through the interface while maximising the visibility of the content.

A POWERPOINT presentation-sharing tool authorSTREAM, on Tuesday (June 24), has announced a new feature in its offerings. The service that enables creation of a community around presentations and share them via networks across the web has tapped into one of the more recent YouTube offerings and made sharing much more wider.

The direct-to-YouTube porting feature will now allow users to send their authorSTREAM presentations directly to their YouTube accounts, thus expanding the reach and usability of the content created on authorSTREAM, thus making it simple and fun to use.

Umesh Sharma, product head, authorSTREAM said, "As it is becoming increasingly important to simplify content-sharing within the social media realm, I feel that it is necessary for such options to be presented to users in a two-way communication channel. This feature will also make PowerPoint content visible to millions of users instantaneously given YouTube’s existing popularity, thereby broadening the reach of the authors."

The feature will prove beneficial especially to avid users of authorSTREAM, as once content is made available via YouTube, it will become even easier to share the presentation across the Web. This is because it’s the reigning standard of video-sharing and in today’s socially networked world, many other sites have YouTube support for functions like search, embeds and URL retrieval.
