Autocar performance show comes back to town

The Supercars - Lamborghini, Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes (with AMG) will be taking the centre stage. Other major players like Skoda, Chevrolet, Fiat, Ford, Toyota, Honda and Hyundai would pump in more adrenaline to the gala event.

THE WAIT is over for all car and motorcycle enthusiasts, as Mumbai’s premier auto show is back this year and it’s even more intense. The Autocar Performance show 2009, is the ultimate destination for people who eat, drink and dream cars and bikes.

The show begins from November 19, at the MMRDA GROUNDS, Bandra Kurla complex, Mumbai. India’s high octane auto show gets some more steam this year, as the world's fastest diesel engine car, the JCB Diesel Max will make its grand entry for the first time ever in India.

Jaguar – Land Rover, Ford, Toyota will also be participating for the first time, amongst the long list of reputed car companies such as Mercedes, Skoda, Honda, Hyundai, Suzuki Super Bikes and Lamborghini. The presenting partners for the APS 2009 are Apollo Tyres with associate partners Kotak Mahindra Prime.

The JCB Diesel Max is record shattering car, which has received several accolades worldwide for its advanced aerodynamic design and its ground breaking speed of over 350 miles per hour (560 km/h). It will be only on display for speed fanatics for two days – November 19 and 20.

The Supercars – Lamborghini, Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes (with AMG) will be taking the centre stage. Other major players like Skoda, Chevrolet, Fiat, Ford, Toyota, Honda and Hyundai would pump in some more adrenaline rush to the gala event, by putting together some of the best vehicles from their stable.

Apart from this, an Apollo tyre design contest would be held. Last year, the Apollo stand saw over 4,500 visitors trying their hand at designing a tyre to win the I-phone as a prize. This year, the stakes have risen with enthusiasts given the task of designing tyres for performance cars.

The super car gallery exhibit, would feature a marvellous and elite collection of cars, which are hardly seen on Indian roads, making it a jaw dropping experience for one and all.

At the Autocar show, there’s something for everyone and to make sure that motorcycle enthusiasts are not disappointed, the event has a special sector for some of the most stylish and high performance bikes around the corner.
