Babri Masjid a national heritage: Sheila Dikshit
Addressing a rally of 19 unauthorised colonies federation, Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit warned people to stay away from communal politics and declared Babri Masjid a great heritage like Lal Quilla and Taj Maha
SHEILA DIKSHIT addressed a rally of 19 unauthorised colonies federation recently formed by the people of Karala and other adjacent places under the chairmanship of H K Kaul, a social activist.

The rally was organised by the local Congress supporters to highlight the achievements of the Sheila Dikshit Government and the Central Government for meeting the requirements of these colonies. Congress party parliamentary candidate of North West  Krishana Tirth also addressed the gathering.

While speaking on the occasion, Delhi Chief Minister reminded people of many development steps taken by her Government during the past years, for the betterment of these colonies. She praised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for earning great applauses from US President Barack Obama. She stressed that the present Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was the best amongst all Prime Ministers Indian people must have seen so far.

She ridiculed the idea of Mulayam Singh,(SP) Ramvilas Paswan(RJS) and Lalu Yadav(RJD) coming together and thus each one of them dreaming to become Prime Minister. But she soon added that by now they have understood that their dream would not come true, they have finally said that despite fighting elections separately from congress, their PM candidate is Manmohan Singh only. She also passed a sarcastic comment on NCP leader Sharad Pawar saying that all of a sudden their machines develop snag. However, she was greeted by the local people with great reverence, affection gratitude and tremendous love and applause. Every one in the colony was praising her for the good work done by her Government. Although there remains a lot to be done but at least someone has taken some initiative in the development of these colonies. Smt Dikshit was handed over a 12 point charter of demands by the colony inmates, she promised to address all these issues only after the elections are over.

Among other things, the colony people had drawn the attention of the Delhi CM towards the fact that no doubt the development work had started in these colonies but it has not been carried in systematic manner and is done only in fits and starts. While work is started in some colonies, some nine colonies have been left over without even sanctioning a lane or a pole or a water tape post in these colonies. Where work was initiated, it has been left half way and making it more inconvenient for the colony people to cope up with the coming monsoon days, when the incomplete drains, without proper water outlet will get filled with water and become breeding ground for diseases.

Likewise there is no drinking water facility still provided in these colonies. The street lights are fixed in small size colonies, whereas the bigger are left without any such facility. The DDA, Police and other local authorities are still harassing people in these colonies. These and other host of issues like unemployment of rural youth was also raised as one issue. The CM had assured that the Govt was aware of the problems of these colonies and will do its best to sort out the same only after elections. The biggest problem of de-notifying the notified portion of these colonies remains a big issue. Sheila Dikshit warned people to stay away from the communal politics and declared Babri Masjid a great heritage like Lal Quilla and Taj Mahal.

.Babri Masjid demolition was engineered by senior congress leaders to bring down Narsimaha Rao Government. Narsimaha Rao was not keeping track with Sonia Gandhi and her supporters. He had started developing big distance from the Gandhi group. Some of the senior Cabinet Ministers were apparently feeling sidelined and ignored by Narsimha Rao. They supported the demolition move covertly. They even left no stone unturned to see that the people involved in the demolition move are not harmed.
.we hope your writeup makes good impact and some one gives attention to the problems faced by the people living in unauthorised colonies.
