BAFTA Award 2010: Nomination list
BAFTA Awards 2010 nominations have been announced. The awards will be awarded at a ceremony on February 21, at Royal Opera House in London. James Cameron (Avatar) and Lone Scherfig (An Education) are nominated for the category of best director.
BAFTA AWARDS 2010 nominations have been announced on January 21, 2010. BAFTA Award is considered as Britain’s Oscar Award. Avatar, An Education and The Hurt Locker have received eight nominations for the Orange British Academy Film Awards 2010.

The film Avatar which has won two Golden Globe Awards is up against British hit An Education and war movie The Hurt Locker in the best film category. Avatar has been nominated in the categories of best film, cinematography, editing, music, production design, sound and special visual effects. An Education has been nominated for best film, outstanding British film, adapted screenplay, costume design and make up and hair.

Actors Jeff Bridges and George Clooney are nominated for best leading actor while, Carey Mulligan and Saoirse Ronan Ridges are nominated for best leading actress. James Cameron (Avatar) and Lone Scherfig (An Education) are nominated for the category of best director. Films An Education, Fish Tank, In the Loop, Moon and Nowhere Boy are nominated for outstanding British film.
