Bal Thackeray critical, Uddhav urges supporters to stay calm

Mumbai Police, it seems isn't taking any chances and has deployed a heavy strength of police personnel to prevent any untoward incidents, keeping in view the critical condition of Shiv sena chief Bal Thackeray.

SHIV SENA Sena chief Bal Thackeray is still in a critical condition and on life support system at his residence. Meanwhile, his son and president of the party, Uddhav has urged people of Mumbai and his Thackeray's supporters to stay clam.

Looking at the current situation, Mumbai police has deployed almost 1500 policemen outside Matoshree and even cancelled all Diwali leaves. Rapid Action Force has also been deployed and asked to stay alert near his residence, and they have blocked all roads leading to Matoshree, according to various media reports.

Doctors are treating 86-year-old and kept him on life support, while on other hand his son Uddhav Thackeray has said that Balasaheb has a very strong will. "Balasaheb has strong willpower. We will come out of this problem. Don't trust rumours. Make peace. We are hopeful. You should be hopeful as well. Let's pray for Balasaheb," he told media.

Many film personalities, including Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek visited the Sena chief. Bachchan later tweeted: “Balasaheb Thackeray: a fighter all his life, fights his life !! Prayers needed now!"

BJP leader Gopinath Munde visited Matoshree earlier on Thursday. He told the waiting media that Bal Thackeray was doing well. "I saw Balasaheb and also met Uddhav and the Thackeray family. Balasaheb is doing well," Munde said, as reported by IBN.
