Balkrihna son-in-law of Chandrababu contests next election
It appears TDP is heading for tough days in the future. The supremo of the party will face trouble if his actor brother-in-law contests elections. Though he says he's against corruption, nobody believes him.

BALAKRISHNA, THE Telugu film artiste and brother-in-law of Telugu Desam President Chandrababu Naidu today announced that he was going to contest in the next Assembly elections. While answering questions to media correspondents at Anantapur where he came to play a festival cricket match, the film hero has said that the constituency where he was going to contest is yet to be decided decide.

The decision to contest elections may raise eye brows and many suspicions in the circles of party workers. Whether this decision will givea boost to the cadre or is to replace his brother-in-law politician is also something that's suspected by many leaders of TDP. The cadre is waiting for a mass leader and they think a hero like Balakrishna may fill the void which the party has had for a long time.

Moreover, the party's young cadre has wanted the son of Chandra Babu Naidu to take the reins of the party but the father is unwilling to give the responsibility to him. First of the foremost drawback is that the son Lokesh is still not familiar to the leaders, and he is also not a public speaker. So far, he has not tried to prove his abilities in any way.

Fortunately or unfortunately in the last elections (2009) the TDP president had used his actor nephew junior NTR for electioneering. His canvassing has impressed by people, and this made him a leader of the party. Leaders of the party have a feeling he might be of some use for the party if he is an active participant in party activities. One more thing to be pointed out is that junior NTR is a foe to Lokesh the son of Chandrababu. Both are not having good relations from the beginning. After seeing the son’s canvassing in the last elections, Harikrishna, Rajya Sabha MP is hopeful that his son is the real heir of senior NTR who was his father.

JaganMohan Reddy, who is a mass leader, is attracting huge crowds with his oration. His fluency in mother tongue and English is amazing. He has proved his leadership qualities by opposing the Congress stalwart Sonia and forming his own outfit. He won the by-election to Kadapa with a big majority, which their family never win. Calculating all this, TDP president sometimes says that politics is not hereditary. In the wake of Telangana movement the seniors feel that it is not easy for a new leader to lead the party, and that Chandra Babu Naidu is still the only hope.

As per the recent India Today and other surveys the popularity of Chandrababu Naidu is going down. If Balakrishna and the TDP win the election of 2014 then the party will be in deep trouble. but that is not such an easy task.
