President Barack Obama leads the Forbes magazine list of the most powerful men in the world. Apart from prominent world leaders like Hu Jintao and Vladamir Putin. However, the list also includes a mexican drug baron Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman.
A LIST of the world's most powerful men was launched by the Forbes magazine recently. It has put a Mexican drug lord ahead of top world leaders, leading to shock and outrage among people, particularly in Mexico. Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman has been placed at the number 41, above the likes of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Nicholas Sarkozy and Hugo Chavez.
Surprisingly, the list does not include the name of the Mexian President Felipe Calderon, who has criticised the magazine for lying about the situation. Guzman, a drug baron, is believed to be hiding in mountains of north Mexico.
However, leading the pack of the world's most powerful man is none other than United States President Barack Obama, followed by Hu Jintao and Vladimir Putin. Software moghul Bill Gates is placed at number 10, while Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and the Pope have been placed at 11 and 12 places respectively.
German leader Angela Merkel and Hillary Clinton are the most powerful women in the world. Merkel finds a place at 15, while Hillary has been ranked 17.
