Barcelona terror attacks:World leaders condemn attacks including Indian President Kovind
Shocked by series of terror attacks in Spain's Barcelona, world leaders have condemned the horrific acts by Islamic militants. US President Donald Trump said that his thoughts were with the victims of the attack in Barcelona and he would do whatever is necessary to help.

The British Prime Minister Theresa May also condemned the 'cruel and cynical crime perpetrated against ordinary citizens'. She appealed, "The terror attack reaffirms once again the need to truly unite the efforts of the entire international community in the fight against terrorist forces."

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated, "We are thinking with profound sadness of the victims of the revolting attack in Barcelona – with solidarity and friendship alongside the Spanish people." And, so did the German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

President of India Ram Nath Kovind strongly condemned the terror attack in Barcelona and in a message to His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain, said, "I am deeply shocked and saddened by the horrific terror attack in Barcelona. India condemns the attack in strongest possible terms. I offer my heartfelt condolences for the victims and wish speedy recovery for those injured."

Expressing his solidarity with the people of Spain in this difficult hour, he added, "Terrorism poses the gravest threat to humanity today. Its perpetrators are determined to destroy peace loving communities and peoples. The global community must come together and give them a befitting response. India remains fully committed to work with Spain in defeating these evil forces."
