Barfi a happy go lucky film like the director: Ranbir Kapoor
The lead actor of the film, Ranbir Kapoor is all praises for the director and co-stars of his latest film Barfi. He says that director Anurag Basu is a happy go lucky man and it is his spirit that translates on screen in Barfi.

BOLLYWOOD STARS Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra promoted their upcoming romantic comedy film Barfi in Bangalore. In a candid chat with media, Kapoor, who plays the role of a deaf and mute person described the flick as a happy go lucky film and added that it was a great experience to work with director Anurag Basu.

ANI reports that Ranbir came to the occasion dressed casually. When asked about the film that is releasing on September 14, Kapoor said, “It was a great experience working with the entire team. I had wonderful co-actors and a director. We had a great time together because it is a fun film, a happy film. It is a film that will make you smile and cry and Anurag Basu is that kind of an individual, that kind of a personality, who is very happy go lucky and I think that always translates on screen.”

Chopra, who plays the role of an autistic girl Jhilmil, said, “We have together made a lot of effort to tell you a great story and that is what the movie is about. It is a really fun story about a happy go lucky guy and the women who come across in his life. It is really a special movie and Jhilmil is one of the toughest roles of my career but she is beautiful, innocent and completely mesmerizing for me. And I was really keen to be a part of this film and knew I had to be a part of it.”

Talking about the lack of awareness about diseases like autism, Chopra added, “A lot of people in India do not know a lot about autism. I did not know a lot about autism till the time I actually started my research so I hope this film also brings to the fore the awareness about autism. But primarily the film is not about autism or disabilities. It is really a love story about these three people.”

ILeana D' Cruz, the Telegu film actress, who makes a Bollywood debut with this film plays the narrator of the film. The music of the film that is already a hit is Pritam's one of the most original and finest works lately.
