Beijing auto show 2010 sees new car launches, focused on China
The ongoing Beijing Auto Show 2010, saw many brands launching their new cars here, apart from holding several important announcements. China is fast becoming the new market for automakers worldwide.

THE LATEST news from the Beijing Auto Show 2010 came on Saturday is that China wants to boost Volvo profit for a long term, so they have decided to have a Volvo manufacturing plant in China, but the date of opening the plant is not yet decided. If market conditions improves overseas then better marketing strategies could help Volvo to increaes its sales.

Volvo is a product from Sweden, as it is going through losses it has been acquired by China's Zhejiang Geely and he took a challenge to get back to the profit before the fourth quarter, a top person from Geely official reported on Friday.


Also, at the Auto Show 2010 India's Tata Motors, are expecting a rise in sales and margins in the December quarter for its new stunning jaguar and Land Rover brands it bought from Ford in 2008, as luxury buyers will be returning to buy new car after the global crisis.

However, Daimler Chief Executive Dieter Zetsche went on to the stage with a Chinese opera singer to showcase of Mercedes-Benz cars. The car included a 571-horsepower SLS AMG with gull-wing doors. Starting price of the car is around $180,000.

China thrashed US and became the world's largest car market; consumers bought 13.6 million vehicles, compared with 10.4 million sold in the U.S. and that is a huge difference and at the Beijing Auto Expo, China is looking to break all other records.

German car maker Audi chose this platform, the Beijing auto show to reveal their new car, A8 LW12 Quattro, a 500-horsepower sedan with the Chinese flavor and style. It is providing extra legroom and a footstool; for music lovers there are 14,000 watts of Bang & Olufsen speakers; a 10.2-inch LCD screen behind the front seats; and massage chairs that "wave, pulse, stretch and lumber.
