The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is taking a lot of new steps to campaign and make an influence with the people. Yogendra Yadav, the Gurgaon candidate is trying everything from meeting professionals to visiting remote areas to garner support for his campaign. In keeping with engaging the youth, AAP has also started an internship program in Gurgaon to get many more people interested in their party.
An AAP representative, Manu Bhansal, talked bout the need of the internship and said, '' the main objective about this internship program is to associate students with the party so that they can be given responsibilities and in this way they would get to know the party more.'' Talking more about the program, he also said that the same program is being run in Delhi
and that around 30 people have enrolled there.
The interns would be given different roles in the campaign and they would have to look after their bit of work. L.E.A.D (Local Engagement Agent for Democracy) AAP Fellowship would take in everyone interested for a period of 4-6 weeks and the interns would have to dedicate 12 hours of their week to the internship. After the completion of their task they would be awarded certificates and the top 5 performers would also have the opportunity to have a one-to-one conversation with Yogendra Yadav.
After volunteering, this is another way to engage the youth of Gurgaon with politics. Recently Yogendra Yadav also visited the Cyber Hub to get in touch with the professionals of the city.
