SNL producers had invited White to host the Saturday Night Live show some years back, but she denied at that time. Now, after the big campaign on Facebook, she agreed to take it up, overwhelmed by the fans who wished to see her on the show.

The former hosts of SNL like Tina Fey, Ana Gasteyer, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph and Rachel Dratch will support the show, but the personality of White remains unique to the show.

Now, after the big campaign on Facebook, she agreed to take it up, overwhelmed by the number of persons who wanted to see her on the show. White said that she was honored and does not matter where the love of her fans came from. She jokingly added that she is nervous about hosting the show.
 

White is 88 years old, but for a comic star like her age is definitely no huddle. In fact, she gained all that support to do the show, after fans saw her in a Snickers commercial, which debuted during the Super Bowl and was hailed as the best Super Bowl commercial.
