Beyonce Knowles postpones Malaysian tour
A fundamentalist youth organization Pas Youth also added fuel to fire; it had said it will come on street agitating against the concert, according to one of its members the tour involving Beyonce Knowles western vulgarity in Islamic heartland Malaysia.

SENSING HER journey may lend in controversy in Islamic country Malaysia as it is facing opposition from fundamentalist group, celebrity pop singer Beyonce Knowles has postponed her Malaysian journey part of her much hyped world tour.
          
As part of her world tour, Beyonce Knowles was slated to take part in a concert in Malaysia on October 18, but even before her landing in Malaysia the concert attracted the ire of Islamic fundamentalists from across the country, some even threatened to undertake agitation against the concert and storming it to force the singer to wind up her concert from the country.  

However, amidst controversy contradicting remarks are emanating from different authorities engaged in the concert. “Beyonce Knowles concert in Malaysia was postponed by the  singer herself . There was no interference by his ministry on matter,“ said information, communication and culture minister Datuk Seri. According to reliable sources, Beyonce was getting calls from influential Islamic groups who were demanding singer to don dress according to the law of the land and avoid wearing scanty vulgurous dress during her public concert.      

A fundamentalist youth organisation Pas Youth also added fuel to fire; it had said it will come on street agitating against the concert, according to one of its members, the tour involving Beyonce Knowles western vulgarity in Islamic heartland Malaysia.  Another leading fundamentalist group Pan Malaysian Islamic Party too was against the concert and using its political influence to scrap the show.                 

Amidst fear from fundamentalist groups and Malaysian dress code for female even her earlier show in the year 2007 was postponed. According to Malaysian laws female performers are required to dress in accordance with the law during public performances, they have to cover their body from shoulders to knees without exposing cleavage. Is  this not a gender discrimination?

When France wanted to ban the burka(veil) the muslim nation were outraged. Why is it okay for them to impose their "beliefs" on others. Hypocrisy at it's best.
