India biggest Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel on Friday announced that its net profit for the fiscal Q3 was at Rs 2210 crore as against Rs 2159 crore in the previous year.
BHARTI AIRTEL, India's biggest telecom service provider on Friday announced that its net profit for the fiscal Q3 was at Rs 2210 crore as against Rs 2159 crore in the previous year. Company third quarter total revenue rose 1.4% to 9772 crore rupees from 9633 crore rupees a year earlier.
On a standalone basis, the company's net profit for the third quarter ended December 31, 2009 grew to Rs.2312.10 crore from Rs.2017.29 crore in the year ago quarter. Total income declined to Rs.8771.56 crore from Rs.8850.25 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. On BSE, 5.61 shares were traded in the counter as against an average daily volume of 18.22 lakh shares in the past one quarter.Bharti Airtel added about 8.4 million mobile phone users in the third quarter to reach a total of 119 million by end December. Recently Sunil Bharti Mittal owned Bharti Airtel which has already launched its mobile services in Sri Lanka in January 2009 has also acquired seventy per cent stake in Bangladesh cellular service provider Warid Telecom.
