WITH THE national elections just around the corner, BIG 92.7 FM, Bangalore’s No 1 FM station has come up with a unique campaign called ‘Bhagvan Ke Naam Pe Dede’. This campaign is aimed at giving listeners a completely local flavour of the forthcoming elections in a smart and witty manner. An election special, where people get to express and vote on different aspects of elections like best publicity stunt by neta (politician) or most common promises made by netas.

The campaign, which began on April 13 and running up to the elections will focus on one element each day and get listener votes for the day’s topic. The voting process will be high on interaction where listeners come on air and share their views on each element.

The BIG Bus, acting as a mobile voting booth, will cover various parts of the city encouraging people to share their views on the various on-air elements. BIG FM RJs will accompany this bus educating residents on the importance of voting and getting people to take a pledge by signing on the bus.

To create strong visual impact, the station planned a unique get-together with school children on April 21 at a Central mall in the city. With the thought of creating a better future for our children, a large graffiti board was sporting messages by children to communicate the importance of voting and choosing the right candidate. This programme was kicked off by the famous child artist Master Kishan, who holds the Guinness Record for being the World’s Youngest Film Director.

Commenting on the campaign, Sunil Kumaran, Head - Karnataka and Kerala, BIG 92.7 FM said, “Being the No 1 FM station in the city, we are committed to empowering our listeners by providing them with relevant information about the forthcoming elections in a smart and witty fashion, that will compel them to franchise their right to vote. ‘Bhagvan Ke Naam Pe Dede’ has been conceptualised keeping in mind the prevailing mood of city and we believe this campaign will create a sizeable impact in terms of awareness creation during this election.”
