Amitabh Bachchan confirmed on his twitter account yesterday that his daughter in law and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is expecting.

EVER SINCE Aishwarya Rai and Junior Bachchan got married in April 2007 the rumour mill has been churning out gossip about Ash being pregnant. Every time the former Miss India gained a little, her weight was associated with her pregnancy, but the rumours always proved wrong. However, this time the news is true and has been confirmed by the soon to be grandpa Amitabh Bachchan himself. Big B tweeted yesterday that he was going to become a grandfather soon as Ash was expecting. He added that he was thrilled and happy about his real-role as a grandfather. Within minutes after he shared this information, congratulations messages started pouring in. Most of the people from the film industry said that they were excited to hear the news.

It’s the same story with every actress, once they get married the next thing that happens is circulation of rumours about their pregnancy. The most recent rumour about Ash’s pregnancy was circulated earlier this month when she was in Chantilly, Paris for the 162nd Prix de Diane horse racing. The green eyed beauty looked a little plum at the event and had covered her shapely form in a voluminous dress.

After Ash, all eyes are now set on Shilpa Shetty, who married Raj Kundra in November 2009. Shilps too has been a victim of pregnancy rumours, with the last one being circulated in May. But Shilps put an end to the rumour by claiming that she was not expecting.
