TODAY AMITABH Bachchan turned 70 and while the film industry and his fans wished him well and health, the people of Allahabad (his hometown) went down the memory lane. Next to his ancestral home in Allahabad was the Palace of the Queen of Betia, which drew Big B's attention right from the early days of his life. Yogeshwar Tiwari, a professor told nnis, “When his father bought a home in Allahabad, all Amitabh Bachchan wanted to do was to have a look at the palace of the Queen of Betia and for that he would often be seen jumping up and down in front of the huge gates of the palace.”
All he wanted to do was see the palace from inside and meet the queen in person. But destiny had its own path. His heartfelt wish to see the queen remains unfulfilled. Tiwari also recollects Bachchan's role in the film Muqaddar Ka Sikandar and says that may be 'it was not just acting but his childhood experience that helped Big B to perform the role with Rakhi.
