The latest season of Bigg Boss went on air from Sunday night with Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt as the hosts. However, the contestants were not even remotely close to the hype surrounding the contestants.

However, the inmates were a bit of a disappointment and one may also feel that looking at the list of Bigg Boss housemates, it seems Colors TV spent the entire budget on Salman and Munnabhai's fees. But with the entertainment sector becoming more and more competitive by the day, it is difficult to figure out what strategies are being thatched under the roof amongst the majority of the women contenders and a sole male, who is also a certified ladies man - Shakti Kapoor.
No wonder even other 'palyboys', Salman and Sanjay, did not come to the dais to welcome the contender. As Shakti made his overly dramatised entry Sanjay was heard telling Salman that he was surprised how the women would handle him, considering that he would not even call him to his residence!
Apart from the contenders from the glam world, Bigg Boss season 5 was also socially inclusive. The Big Boss 5 contenders also included a member from the third gender viz Lakshmi Narayan who has earlier been lauded for her efforts for equality. Lakshmi has also voiced her concerns in an event conducted by the United Nations.
Apart from her, others who have grabbed eyeballs include Vida Samadzai from Afghanistan who was banned from her country for wearing a bikini and Shraddha Sharma who was earlier linked with former Bigg Boss inmate Raja Chaudhary, the estranged husband of popular television actress Shweta Tiwari.
