Bihar government organises week-long cultural programme to mark 350th birth anniversary of Sikh Guru Gobind Singh Sahib
The Art, Youth and Culture Department of Bihar government and Bharatiya Nritya Kala Mandir are organising several cultural at the SK Memorial Hall and Bharatiya Nritya Kala Mandir in Patna from December 22 to December 27 as part of the 350th birth anniversary of Sikh Guru Gobind Singh Sahib.

The event was inaugurated by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on December 22 at the SK Memorial Hall.

It is learned that the artists from the North Central Zone Cultural Centre-Allahabad will display folk classical music performances from different states such as Punjab, UP, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat at Bharatiya Nritiya Kala Mandir from December 23 to December 25 to mark the Guru's anniversary that will conclude with Shukrana Samaroh.

Further, the Bihar Lalit Kala Akademi will organise an exhibition on the life and works of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib at its art gallery.

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh met Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on December 21 and thanked him for Shukrana Samaroh being organised in Patna Sahib at a grand scale.

Devotees from various parts of India as well as abroad have reached Patna to visit the famous Gurudwara called Takht Sri Patna Sahib dedicated to Saint Soldier and witness the cultural programme and other religious events.

The Gurudwara in Patna Sahib commemorates the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs. Guru Gobind Singh Sahib and had spent his early years here before moving to Anandpur.

Some relics of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib are kept in Takht Sri Patna Sahib such as iron arrows, weapons, sandals and a pangura (cradle) along with the Hukamnamas given by Guru Gobind Singh Sahib and Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib.

The organisers of religious event at the Gurudwara stated that the 'Shukrana Samagam of 350 Saal Guru De Naal' will take place to mark the prakash parv of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj on December 25 as per the Rehat Maryada of the calender POH Sudi Saptami.
