Bikers promote rural tourism and tree plantation in Haryana's Rohtak
Bikers often make news headline for wrong reasons.Ted Simon dreamt of a day when people will ride for a cause.To some extent Charley Boorman and Ewan Mcgregor tried to fulfil it. On Sunday when Delhiets were watching elections results, about one hundred bikers including females drove all the way to village Samargopalpur in Rohtak district of Haryana bordering for promoting rural tourism and tree plantation.

The event was organised by Flashpacking India in collaboration with Banikhera rural tourism farm, Samargopalpur in Rohtak. Ankit of Flashpacking told that since places matter, hence they have chosen a village to highlight the concept of rural tourism and for promoting environment.

It was a unique experience for Delhi based bikers to travel in interior village of Haryana and people on way were amused to see them.Thirty year old Shivesh told that he is riding bikes since college days for time pass. Slowly it became hobby and now it is passion for him. Other bikers also echoed the same sentiments. Amandeep and his wife Shewta who acted as pillion rider have come from Gurgaon.

At Banikhera farm started for promoting rural tourism in collaboration with Haryana Tourism,bikers enjoyed live painting competitions, quiz contest among village boys and planted trees. Haryana has lot of talent and it was proved with the talent of Google boy and only need is to provide them opportunity.On this occasion Thakur J.P. Singh launched international society of Travel and Photography started jointly by Shivesh and Ankit.

Kr. K.V. Singh, owner of Banikhera farm told that their idea is to provide sustainable and community based development adding that main aim is to promote the village as hub of rural tourism which will unleash new economic opportunities for local villagers and also promote our culture, heritage and traditions which are fast vanishing.

Besides it provides part time jobs to villagers as most of activities like Yoga, taking guests for horse riding and bullock riding are managed by local villagers. Farm has natural lake and folk dance and folk songs events are organised for guests. Samargopalpur is about five Kilometers from Rohtak on Mumbai-Ferozepur Railway line.
