THE INFAMOUS bikini killer, Charles Sobhraj's fate will today be sealed when the Nepalese Sumpreme Court gives its verdict on the appeal filed by Charles on the infamous killings that he had committed across Asia in the 1970's.
Charles is currently serving a sentence passed by the district court for the murder of American backpacker Connie Joe Bronzich in 1975. Earlier Sobhraj had appealed against the judge's verdict calling it racially motivated.

The now 65 year, balding man has constantly maintained his innocence claiming that he has never visited Nepal although there have been evidences that substantiate his presence in Nepal when the murders took place. The hotels where he stayed carry his original signatures.Ram Bandhu Sharma, who has been one of Sobhraj's lawyer since the last 7 years said, “ After fighting for years, we want this to be settled soon. We are hopeful that the decision will be made tomorrow”.Sobhraj, who is also a self trained legal expert has been informed about the proceedings though he has no plans of showing up in the court. He has also managed to jump out of jail in Greece, Afghanistan and India after drugging the guards with sedatives.On his judgement day, Charles Sobhraj said, “The two judges don't want to be the ones to acquit me and face criticism by a section of the Nepalese media who have been after me since four years. But I am shocked that on the excuse of reopening the so-called passport case, they have reopened the de novo case”.
