Bio Andhra to hoast International Conference on Marine & Agricultural Bio-technology
Godavari Knowledge Park in association with JNTUK, Kakinada is organizing BIOANDHRA 2014 – The first International Conference on marine & Agricultural Bio-technology at JNTUK, Kakinada Campus from October 16-18, 2014.
The purpose of the conference is to generate excitement and inspire individuals with deep research interests and promote disciplined applied research in academic institutions with a view to sharing socio-technically relevant ideas and providing a platform for new initiatives and partnerships in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
The conference is being organized with active support from Andhra Pradesh
State Government, which is proposing to unveil the new Life Sciences & Biotech policy for the new state. Acceptance of Sri Nara Chandra Babu NaiduGaru, Hon Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh
to preside over the conference has already generated much enthusiasm among the entrepreneurs and also in the scientific community.
Further the Conference is attended by a special UN delegation besides Eminent Scientists, Dignitaries and Industrialists from across the Globe. Senior officials from Government of India
and various State Governments of the country will be attending this Conference. Certain Nobel Laureates are also expected to lend their valuable guidance for this initiative.
The objective of the conference to provide a platform for new initiatives and partnerships with a Clear measures and metrics common to researchers, technologists, venture capitalists and policy makers to set a sensible, actionable and workable road maps for Andhra Pradesh as new bio-tech destination.

Incubator emerged as the unique Public Private Partnership platform between JNTUK-Kakinada and Godavari Knowledge Society is established in the campus of JNTUK-Kakinada.
The park will foster innovation, research and entrepreneurial activities in technology-based domains. The park will provide the optimal infrastructure for research and development activities in Biotechnology and to covert innovative ideas into commercially. In the last 4 months since its inception, GKP has attracted good number of startup companies and will be shortly filing around 5 patents based on the ideas generated by students of JNTUK-Kakinada.
