Firstly, media-publicised controversy generated before any publication put on sale, automatically generates great demand for the forthcoming publication. Secondly, normal human-beings (readers) have otherwise a natural craze for sex-related stories.
Is it not surprising that husband and wife may not be discussing such an important issue on book-writing especially also because Om Puri had already shared his personal secrets about his relations with other women with his wife Nandita? However, rule should be that author and publisher of a biography must take consent about contents of the biography from the concerned one to rule out any controversies either real or artificial!
