Birthday Special: Least known facts about Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most-loved diva of the entertainment industry. She is one of the very few actresses who has had the exclusive opportunity of working with all the reigning Khans. Her mere glimpse lights up the entire scene of the film - be it Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam or recently released Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The sizzling diva turns a year older today. And on this auspicious occasion, we bring you some of the least known facts about Bebo. It will indeed make you know her even better. So, let's take a look at these hardly known facts about Kareena Kapoor Khan:

1. Unlike countless common name like Pooja and Neha, which you will find in every corner of India, Kareena's name is unique and very special. Actually, it is derived from the book Anna Karenina that her mother was reading while she was pregnant with her. However, her family and close friends choose to call her Bebo, which is also different.

2. Very few know that Kareena's father Randhir Kapoor wasn't willing on her joining the film industry. However, it was her mom Babita, who supported her acting career. After her parents separation, it was her mother who took care of Kareena and her elder sister Karishma.

3. Kareena was slated to make her debut with blockbuster Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (2000), opposite Hrithik Roshan. But she refused, as she was offered Refugee, opposite then-newcomer Abhishek Bachchan. Sadly, Roshan and Patel became overnight sensations with Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, and Refugee failed to create any magic at the box-office. Her first successful film was 'Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai' in 2001 opposite Tusshar Kapoor.

4. Though, she is usually diplomatic, but her cat fights with Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu are well known. She had once said, "My Heroine is better than Fashion". Notably, Fashion is Chopra's biggest hit and she also bagged a 'National Award' for it. The cold war is still continues between them.

Moreover, Kareena does not like Bipasha Basu either, and their clashes continue since they both worked together in Ajnabee (2001). Kareena even went on to say, Bips "kaali billi" (black cat), alluding to her dusky skin. As per rumours, Kareena was also against Saif Ali Khan working alongside Bipasha Basu in Race 2.

5. Well, if you remember, it was Kareena Kapoor who began the size-zero trend in Bollywood. She is very fond of fitness, and yoga is her favorite fitness activity. She can do over 50 suryanamaskars and is able to hold complex poses for longer periods.

6. Kareena had also tried her hands at singing and lent her voice in the song of the film Dev.

7. Unlike other popular actresses, Kareena openly accepts that two actresses can never be best friends. Her bestie is failed actress Amrita Arora. The actress has also openly voiced her stand on the issue of infidelity. Unlike star wives, who just overlook such things, she had once said, "I will slaughter him" on the issue.

8. Kareena Kapoor's wax statue was unveiled at Madame Tussauds in Blackpool in the UK, on October 27, 2011.

9. Kapoor's favorite designer is Manish Malhotra and was summoned to design her wedding trousseau.

10. Kareena Kapoor was in a relationship with Shahid Kapoor for 3 years from 2004 to 2007. And after their break up in 2007, they gave the super hit film, Jab We Met. Interestingly, the film that released after their break-up, remains one of their greatest blockbusters in Bollywood. Besides, Kareena is known to have dated only two men, Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. But her affair with Hrithik Roshan was always kept under wraps.

11. She is not very fond of gadgets and thinks her smartphone is a slick innovation that she happens to own.
