BJP politician and ex-Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana passes away, Prime Minister Modi condoles his demise
On 27 October, BJP politician, Madan Lal Khurana, aged 82, died at his residence at Kirti Nagar in New Delhi. He had suffered from a brain hemorrhage five years ago and had been ailing since then.

Madan Lal Khurana (1936-2018) was Chief Minister of Delhi from 1993 to 1996. He also served as Governor of Rajasthan in 2004. He was the Union Minister of Parliamentary affairs and Tourism in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. He was a member of Rashtriya Swayansevak Sangh also.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled Khurana's demise saying, "Anguished by the passing away of Shri Madan Lal Khurana Ji. He worked tirelessly for the progress of Delhi, particularly towards ensuring better infrastructure. He distinguished himself as a hardworking and people-friendly administrator, both in the Delhi government and Centre."

"Shri Madan Lal KhuranaJi will always be remembered for the manner in which he strengthened the BJP in Delhi. He made unwavering efforts towards serving the post-partition refugees in Delhi. My thoughts and solidarity with his family and supporters," he added.
