Black Friday results 2009: rise in sales reported
According to reports, as the Black Friday 0209 sales started much earlier in store as well as online, it moved up in comparison to last years. There was an increase of around 25% in the amount of money that was moved around on Thanksgiving Day

The Black Friday 2009 has been a hit among the retailers as well as the shoppers. It got off to a great start and according to reports, as the sales started much earlier in store as well as online, it moved up in comparison to last year. Retail giants have reported strong sales with TVs, laptop, Zhu Zhu pets toping the most popular chart.
 
According to a report, it is believed that the reason for the rise on Black Friday 2009 sales was because of the early opening of the stores this year. A lot many retailers like Walmart, Target, Best Buy etc had opened their stores as early as midnight, whereas the normal opening time is 6am. The early opening of the stores got the retailers more visitors, thus making a good sale.
 
PayPal had reported that there was an increase of around 25% in the amount of money that was moved around on Thanksgiving Day, as compared to the same period in 2008. The retailers would be hoping that the Strong Black Friday 2009 sales continue till Christmas.
 
It is believed that even today, Saturday sales as well as on Monday, Cyber Monday sales would also not disappoint the retailers as a lot many great deals and offers are available online as well as in stores for these two days as well.
