Latest bomb blast in Lahore city has left seven people dead and over 100 injured. According to latest reports, the blast was carried off by Jamaat-ul-Dawa, a Pakistan based terrorist organisation in an attempt to free their chief from police station
BOMB BLAST rocked Lahore city in Pakistan on Wednesday (May 27) morning. This powerful bomb went off outside a police building in busy market place.
So far reports have revealed seven causalities and over 100 injured people. The injured were rushed to the nearby hospitals. According to reports, over 40 vehicles and one building were damaged.
Sounds of gunshots were also heard from the spot after the blast. According to the Pakistan based media, terrorists attempted to free Hafiz Mohammed Saeed, the chief of Jamaat-ul-Dawa, a Pakistan based terrorist organisation. Today’s blast is the symbol of their jihad.
The Pakistan police has cordoned off the entire area after the blast. Security has been beefed up throughout the city. A red alert has also been declared in the capital city of Islamabad.
Prime Minister Gilani condemned this terrorist strike and ordered for a probe. The Jammat-ud-dawa supremo would be produced to the Lahore High Court today.
