BLUE IS the perfect example of a good 100 crores going down the drain (sau karod paani mein daal dena). This is what all the film reviews are saying about the film, which is touted to be one of the most expensive movies ever made in the Bollywood.

Despite having brilliant visuals and underwater images shot by a top cinematographer, the film's weak storyline, lack of a plot and most importantly the lack of any reason for it to be made are a huge let down.

Blue's poor screenplay is also a big letdown for some reviewers, according to whom the film is high on style quotient. The movie is about a treasure, which is lost in seas of Bahamas and Akshay Khanna wants that to be discovered.

Akshay ( Aarav) asks his friend, Sanjay Dutt (Sagar) to carry out the treasure hunt as he thinks  Sanjay (Sagar) knows the route to the deep sunken ship in the Bahamas sea. Though Dutt is not interested in doing this job but his brother Sam (Zayed), who arrives from Bangkok has messed up with a Mafia boss and needs to pay a huge amount of money.

It is around this plot that the film revolves and Dutt and his team go on to search the treasure. Although the film could have been better, but reviewers opine that unimaginative writing, poor dialogues and lackluster direction have let down the film.

What could have been a paradigm changing movie for Bollywood is a dud, is their opinion. However, it remains to be seen how the filmgoers respond to the movie because in India many times the reviewers have had to eat humble pie.
