Bode Miller wins gold medal at the Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010. No one expected Bode Miller to strike gold at the men’s super combined at the Winter Games. But he has surely made a strong comeback. It was a superb performance by Miller at the Olympic 2010 that won him his first ever Olympics Gold medal. Earlier he had won a silver and bronze medal for USA at the Olympics, and now with a gold he has not only won medals but also hearts.
Bode Miller 32, US alpine skier who won gold in the men’s combined at the Vancouver Winter games 2010 timed 2:44:92 in two rounds. He beat Croatian Ivica Kostelic and Silvan Zubriggan of Switzerland who had won silver and bronze respectively. Miller defeated Ivica by a margin of .33 seconds and Silvan was .07 seconds short of the Croatian.Ted Ligety finished 5th, Will Brandenburg finished 10th and Super G bronze medallist Andrew Weibrecht finished 11th at the 2010 Vancouver Games.Bode Miller’s super Slalom run of 51.01 seconds won him the gold medal, after a gate missing error by Aksel Svindal.With this gold medal at the Olympics 2010, Bode joined Julia Mancuso, Lindsey Vonn and Andrew Weibrecht to win a total of 8 medals for the US at the Winter Games.Do watch Bode Miller’s slalom run as its video is available on the net.
