Bollywood and Nepotism – The ever so intimate affair
Bollywood is one place which has all the drama cooked fairly. Either it is too hot to handle or it has the perfect streaks of controversies. The latest round of hot threads which are doing its bit is the controversial nepotism debate.

A storm of exchanges have started gripping the industry with remarks coming from all around. The Kangana-Karan saga seems to be an endless story now with more reactions coming from the film fraternity. The world seems to have a new war front, ideologies are doing a star trek and there is a new found phrase 'Nepotism or Talent'.

The can has more worms to it. Vidya Balan seems to have no reaction mode. Recently, at an event in Mumbai she actually exhibited a kind of chilly or may be frozen reaction to the whole saga. Hmm, now Vidya surely has better grey cells to keep numb over a topic so debatable. She says the moment the word peeks from any corner; she chooses to have the most balanced answer, "I am not interested".

But there are many from the Bollywood fraternity who have opinions.

Imtiaz Ali of "Harry met Sejal" and Anushka Sharma our "Sejal" are not star kids, their take on "Nepotism" somehow showed a real fling. As an outsider they had a very logical version to the debate.

"We three (Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka and himself) are outsiders and doesn't have a godfather. I am here just because of my hard work and the love that I received," says Imtiaz Ali. Anushka undoubtedly picked on talent as the base to survive in the enigmatic world of Bollywood.

The ever so scintillating debate which had print media almost curling and wriggling with tweets, letters, messages and opinions had two sides of the Nepotism war. The Kangana Ranaut side and the Karan Johar angle. A series of laughter banter had sparked the controversial row with'Nepotism' being the show stopper...hmm, may be it actually goofed up the whole thread of a humorous take or it might have just picked up the real motive, who knows … but the rest is history.

Arjun Kapoor has recently spoken on this but somewhere his remarks had a generic tone clarifying that nepotism exists in every field, this 'Ishaqzaade' star comes from a filmi background. He had lot more interesting inputs to pour down analysing the topic. He feels audience don't dig on their pockets just to see a surname on the screen. The 'Mubarkaan' star says talent lives longer than nepotism. Well, we would not have a debate on that again as the controversy has many other loggerheads that have the right amount of wit to deny, defy or just be on the right side of talent vs nepotism saga.

Though the best reply came from our Sunny Paaji about the much hyped word 'Nepotism', when he said, "Woh kya hota hai?"....hmm....that was the best one liner and it surely has much more meaning to it.
