Bollywood keeps copying Hollywood scripts and the audiences are saddled with disasters like 'Teen Patti' and 'Karthik calling Karthik'. We don't give script writers enough recognition and respect so this kind of poor copying is all we can expect.
POLITICIANS ARE hailing the new decade of the 21st century as a decade of the youth. Maybe Bollywood hasn’t heard their prediction. It is still labouring at hackneyed scripts and repeating old faces. That would still be acceptable if they were ready to learn from their mistakes.
They keep copying Hollywood scripts and the audiences are saddled with disasters like ‘Teen Patti’ and ‘Karthik calling Karthik’.
Well what else can they do – when you don’t give script writers enough recognition and respect this kind of poor copying is all you can expect. Even the best genius needs appreciation to flourish. The two K’s are an outdated concept – Khan or Kapoor, the times are gone when actors alone could ensure a movie’s success. Legends like Amitabh Bachchan seem to have lost their discretion. He needs to choose his scripts carefully. ‘Teen Patti’ and the like disappoint fans terribly.
Thank God for movies like ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Ishqiya’. They are the reason people still have hopes from Bollywood.
