Bollywood elites excited to meet Steven Spielberg

Oscar-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg is in India and Bollywood is going crazy with various activities. Everybody who is somebody in Mumbai wants to meet the director. Treating Spielberg to a huge bash, Anil and Tina Ambani threw a big bash on Monday, where almost all the A listers of Bollywood were present.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who was in Bhopal for Prakash Jha's Satyagrah moved down to Mumbai to meet Lincoln's director. Some of the other Indian directors who attended the bash were Anurag Kashyap, Madhur Bhandarker, Prasoon Joshi, Rohan Sippy, R Balki, Guari Shinde and Kiran Rao. They were all excited to spend some quality time with the Hollywood veteran.

At the event, while talking to NNIS, Prasoon Joshi said, “Every film of his is a favourite. The way he treats the animated characters is amazing, which makes them so human. Siddhartha Basu, Chairman and Managing Director of Big Synergy said, “He is a good storyteller and I look forward to what he has to do, what he has to share. He has tied up with Reliance on a number of projects and I am keen to know what he has to say on storytelling and film.”

Rohan Sippy said that he has come to hear Spielberg speak about films, and that Bollywood and Hollywood are amalgamating as Anil Ambani is already investing abroad. The 66-year-old Hollywood veteran has given us films such as Schindler's List, ET and Avatar in his 40-year career.
