Bollywood mourns Mumbai blasts victims, calls off events
The Mumbai blasts were mourned by the Bollywood family, who cancelled all their celebrations for the day. Don 2, Murder 2 parties, and an international award ceremony were called off as a way to mark grief for the blast victims.

THE BOMB blast in Mumbai, on Wednesday, has affected lives more than one ways, as tragedies often do. As the tragedy took place, the entire country went into mourning including the film industry as many important events for the day was cancelled. Shahrukh Khan’s First look of Don 2 was scheduled in Cinemax, Andheri West from 7:45 pm and Mohit Suri’s Murder 2 success party was to be held at the JW Marriot hotel in Juhu from 9 pm, and both the celebrations were cancelled owing to the blasts.

Yesterday, Mumbai was pained, what with the three blasts and the continuous heavy rains. The first blast took place at Zaveri Bazar at 6.59 p.m, followed by a second blast at Opera House at 7.05 p.m., and the third took place at Dadar West at 7.17 p.m.

in spite of this a few journalists and the media house reporters were already gathered in front of the Cinemax, to not miss anything of the first look of Farhan Akthar’s Don 2.

However, they were greeted by the producer of the film Ritesh Sidhwani, who said, “Due to the blast, we have decided to call off the event.” No further date has been announced for the cancelled party.

Murder 2, which has garnered a lot of success, was to have a celebration party that was also called off. Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandes, apart from director Mohit Suri and the cast and the crew were to be present for the party. Aishwarya Rai, who was to be felicitated by the French officials with ‘Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters,’ in New Delhi also requested for the ceremony to be postponed.
