India’s one of the most revered dancer and popular actor Mithun Chakraborty was completely taken aback by the untimely demise of MJ, he told media persons that “you can imagine the importance of MJ in my life for the fact that I named my son after him. Mimmoh is Michael Mohammed Ali. For me he is still alive and will be so as long as I live. I exist because of him”. He further said, for him legendary singer Michael was like a God.
World acclaimed Indian percussionist Sivamani, who was part of the Michael's concert in the year 1998, was also grief stricken on learning MJ’s death. He said “MJ’s 'Thrille'r almost changed my life. It was awesome. I still remember how impressed and rocked I was. It was in 1998 when I and Rahman got an opportunity to perform in his concert. There are memories, which will remain an inspiration for me. His music, dance and performance have influenced our music industry a lot. It’s really a sad and shocking for me to know that he is no more with us”.
