DANNY BOYLE, the Academy Award winner and director of Slumdog Millionaire, is planning his second movie 'Bombay Velvet' with two Bollywood superstars Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan. Bombay Velvet, like Danny's previous movie Slumdog Millionaire is also based on Mumbai. It is a period thriller movie belonging to first part of 20th century. Indian director cum scrip-writer Anurag Kashyap of 'Dev D' fame has been given the baton of direction.
Danny Boyle has signed the talented actor Aamir Khan for his upcoming movie. If grapevine news is to be believed, he is in talks with Shahrukh Khan to act in another lead role in the movie. If Danny succeeds in bringing together Aamir and Shahrukh in Bombay Velvet, it will be for the first time, the Khans would be acting in the same movie with lead roles. Earlier, they were seen together in cameo roles in Zoya Akhtar's Luck By Chance which was their first appearance together in any movie.
The proposed film is going to have three parts with Shahrukh (if the deal is finalised) playing the lead role in the first part, a new comer playing the lead act in the second part and Aamir Khan finishing in the third part. Let us keep our fingers crossed and hope for a miracle from Danny to bring the two superstars together on-screen and off-screen!
