Yeddyurappa on Monday ruled out dropping any minister from his cabinet but said that he would change the style of his functioning. He told reporters that there was no question of dropping any minister of the cabinet.
TWO DAYS after he was reported to have broken down over political turmoil prevailing in his government, Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa changed his tone and signalled a renewed resolve to take on the dissidents led by the powerful Reddy brothers.
Yeddyurappa on Monday (Noember 9), ruled out dropping any minister from his cabinet but said that he would change the style of his functioning. He told reporters that there was no question of dropping any minister of the cabinet, which is a key demand made of dissidents calling for removal of his loyalists from the government.
The chief minister said that political stalemate has been resolved as the party high command was instrumental in bringing about an amicable settlement, while replying to question on the dropping of ministers from his cabinet.
Meanwhile, sources said that as per the compromise formula Yeddyurappa will continue to be the chief minister but a coordination committee will be formed to oversee the affairs of the state. It is likely that the present speaker of Karnataka assembly will be made a minister.
